Chocolate + Peanut Butter + Ice Cream = Heaven
Period. The end.
My friend Julie made this delectable dessert for me last week. While I have made this before, her version is absolutely gorgeous. She has a special knack for making desserts look beautiful and I have a knack for taking good photographs of her desserts, and eating them too!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie

Filling:
- 2 cups chocolate ice cream, softened
- 4 cups vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 Mr. Goodbar candy bar, chopped
- Chocolate-flavored syrup

- Spread softened chocolate ice cream over bottom of cooled pie crust. Freeze until firm, at least 30 minutes.
-
In a large bowl, combine vanilla ice cream and peanut butter. Beat at a low speed until peanut butter is evenly distributed. Freeze 30-45 minutes. Spoon peanut butter ice cream over chocolate ice cream layer. Spread to edge of crust, mounding slightly higher in the center.
-
Sprinkle with Mr. Goodbar. Freeze 4-5 hours until completely set. Let stand at room temperature 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
Review:
Absolute heaven and perfect as a summer dessert. The combination of the different flavors of ice cream, plus the peanut butter plus the chocolate makes this a winner in my book. It was no surprise when the children inhaled their slices of pie- no talking, no making a mess, asking for seconds, of course! This one is a crowd pleaser.

This looks so bad in a good way! Bad for my hips but good for my soul.
I might make this over the weekend- peanut butter and chocolate- my favorite combo!!
