Did someone say bacon?
My husband has this "joke" he tells anytime we are eating bacon and someone new is around.
Husband: Do you know what is better than a pound of bacon?
Answer: TWO pounds of bacon.
He made that one up, true story. He is BRILLIANT and loves bacon. So do I!
Bacon Ranch Slow Cooked Chicken
(source: Recipe Zaar)
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons bacon bits
- 1 teaspoon instant minced garlic
- 1 (1 ounce) package hidden valley ranch dressing mix
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- egg noodles, prepared
Directions:
- Combine the first 5 ingredients.
- Pour over chicken in slow cooker.
- Cook 3-4 hours on high, or until chicken is done
- Serve over hot noodles.
This recipe is about as simple as it gets. Little mess, EASY prep, and ready when it's dinnertime. As a bonus, it is so DELICIOUS! My kids loved this one, both on the original night it was served AND as a leftover. The sauce is very creamy and perfect over the noodles. I did substitute the 98% fat free cream of chicken and a light sour cream but you could not tell a difference in the taste. Bon Appetit!
